The 2008 fishing season is here and the RV Charters Fishing Team is looking forward to another outstanding summer of fishing and catching in Algoma Wisconsin.

In 2007 we had incredible fishing for the majority of the season. The Salmon showed up early again for the fifth year in a row which is becoming a weclome trend. The Steelhead were also here and the bite for both species was strong through the end of July. The King Salmon to bite while the Steelhead tapered off. This did not discourage anglers since there have been more than enough Chinook to go around.

This was one of the best years for chinook salmon we have had in the last ten years. Size was down slightly but numbers were very good with the average weight of the kings being in the 10-15lb range, large chinook salmon were caught in the mid 20 to upper 20lb range. With the average numbers of fish caught increasing we look forward to some full coolers in 2008.

The fall salmon and brown trout fishing was productive and many of our fishermen found the trophy fish they were looking for. For those of you who are able to make it to Algoma in September and early October of 2008 this might be just the chance you've waited for to catch that trophy King Salmon or Steelhead.

According to DNR statistics in 2007, Algoma was again a leading port for salmon and steelhead in Wisconsin with anglers bringing in more fish than the next two ports combined. Such an abundance of fish has translated to great catches for all Algoma fisherman.

We still have many prime time dates available.  Including weekends in June, July and August.  Remember we are fishing during the entire season, we know what it takes to catch fish.  Our goal is to make sure you have a fun time fishing.

So if you are interested in spring Salmon and Steelhead fishing or fall trophy King Salmon in 2008 don't delay in planning this years fishing adventure. We still have prime salmon and steelhead dates available. We are again offering a Charter for those interested in trying for Trophy Salmon and Brown trout. It is specifically for those who wish to fish the river mouth for the Salmon and Brown trout that are starting to make their spawning run. For many of the fish this is when they are at their peak size and are in their fall colors. Beautiful Brown trout and big Kings are here in September and October.

This trip is 3 hours AM or PM (based on availability)for up to 6 people for $330.00. An outstanding value for those looking for a wall mounter or those just interested in a shorter fishing trip.
